Amazon Chooses Yuma, Arizona, for Strategic ‘Last-Mile’ Delivery Center


The City of Yuma has announced that Amazon has selected Yuma, Arizona, for its newest delivery center, marking a significant investment in the region’s logistics infrastructure. Construction commenced in January 2025, with operations slated to begin by the end of October 2025. This $23 million facility will be located at Avenue 4E and 36th Street, transforming 17 acres of former farmland into a state-of-the-art distribution hub. The Amazon distribution hub is part of a larger business complex in Yuma currently being built by The Panattoni Development Company on 120 acres of industrial land within the City of Yuma. Panattoni has 38 years of experience that includes over 625,000,000SF of space developed across the world.


Strategic Location and Infrastructure
Yuma’s proximity to Interstate 8 provides seamless access to major transportation routes, facilitating efficient distribution across the Southwest. The city’s strategic location near California and Mexico enhances its appeal as a logistics hub, offering companies a competitive edge in regional distribution.
